Buying local means valuing the real world

At Abaka , we're a very small team. Everyone here wears several hats: one person can imagine a design, cut the fabric, put the products online... and even respond to you directly.

Each garment comes to life in our boutique, where we imagine, cut, and develop each design. It is then carefully assembled by local seamstresses, who work from home with passion and precision.

Buying local from us is more than just an ethical gesture—it's supporting a vibrant, caring, and engaged community. It encourages respectful working conditions, fair pay, and values deeply rooted in respect for people and the planet.

We carefully choose natural and eco-responsible materials such as hemp , organic cotton , bamboo viscose and TENCEL™ . They require more attention, but they allow us to leave a gentler footprint on the environment.

Our mission: dress consciously, create with heart

At Abaka, we do more than just linens. We create clothes that tell a story—our own, but also yours.

Our mission: to offer local, sustainable, and responsible fashion. Clothes we love to wear for a long time because they're well-made, comfortable, and respectful of the world around us.

Buying from Abaka is a simple yet powerful gesture. It's saying yes to a humane economy, to deeply held values, and to a cleaner future.

Thank you for being part of this wonderful adventure.

Every order helps us keep going—one garment, one person, one value at a time.

Our responsible commitment:

  • The fabric scraps that we don't use are donated to local artisans and organizations who reprocess them in an eco-friendly way.
  • The cardboard in our labels and boxes is recycled; we take care to use as little material as possible by staying away from plastic.
  • Our shipping bags are biodegradable
  • The ink we use in our printed designs is primarily recycled water-based ink.
  • We strive to reuse as much as possible all the materials that enter our workshop, whether it is fabric packaging bags, shipping boxes or any other material received.
  • Our fabrics are all OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified for their dyeing.
  • The Tencel we use is certified TENCEL™ Lyocell, TENCEL™ Modal and LENZING™ ECOVERO™
