Fabrics

Hemp, which has been harvested for more that 10 000 years, is a plant that easily adapts to many types of soils, grows rapidly without the need of chemical products and enables the creation of thousands of durable and ecological products. Recognized for their comfort, hemp clothes are also resistant to moisture and offer excellent protection against UV rays. The hemp used it the composition of Abaka’s fabrics is grown by farmer’s cooperatives in China, where it is then woven in conditions that respect the rights and the integrity of workers.

Bamboo is a renewable resource that grows 100% naturally. Bamboo fiber has natural anti-bacterial properties that prevents allergies and skin irritation. It’s microstructure enhances the fabric breathability, making the garment more efficient in moisture absortion and evaporation. It’s softness provides nice fit and an outstanding confort.

Tencel and Lyocell are produced from wood cellulose crushed and dissolved with a certified biological process. The result is a natural product with many properties including durability and a moisture absorption greater than cotton and silk.
